Afro Bella

It's February, it's cold, and I am in full-on hibernation mode. I don't have much to blog about seeing as how I've barely left the comfort of the Barbie Dream House for the last week or so.

The hilight of the past two weeks was a few days ago when I had a really good hair day. And so, I bring you a photo of my fro:

not so small afro

Voila!

Measurements: 36 centimeters across at ear level and 96 cm in circumference.
so that's like 14 inches and 38 inches or something. (Yes, I actually measured my head.)

Not a bad start.

That's totally awesome growth!!
Its funny, about a month ago I decided to put extensions (i.e. braids) b/c It was too cold to do anything to it. I was trying to measure my hair with my mother's sewing measurement tape (made sense to me at the time) and my dad happen to pass by; he took one look and mumbled something to the effect that I really needed to find a new hobby and hair color (b.t.w. at that time I wasn't working, so measuring hair was my favorite past-time).
P.S it looks very healthy too!

The afro's hot. When I had hair, I used to grow it out every now and then, but it would always part and hang like Layzie Bone's. It wouldn't ever do right.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. Ii’ really enjoying the whole huge hair thing.

Camille- Why Yes I have lost a bit of weight, but not nearly as much as I thought I would have by now…

Edward or Jacob- I use different products all the time. I'm always trying new things. First I used this producy called "Mixed Chicks" which I like very much but is pretty expensive on a monthly basis for a mane of hair the size of mine. Recently I'm using carol's daughter products. They are OK, nothing sensational.

I've also used just plain old hair gel from the supermarket and one of my favorite products is super cheap conditioner that I get atTATI which is the french version of K-mart. Every product works differently. But also, my hair just has a mind of its own. Everyday its different. Never a dull hair day.

FlyBrother- My mum tells me that my dad had the same problem with his afro back in the day. Lazy ‘Fro!
