Happy Botox to me!

Well if you haven't noticed, I've changed the age in my profile because yesterday was my birthday. I am now 34. Thirty. Freakin'. Four. I say it like that not because I have some huge problem with aging, because I really really don't. I say it like that because I still feel like I'm 16 years old. How can I be 34 already? Life passes so fast. I'm having so much fun, and the years just keep zooming faster and faster. It's scary and beautiful at the same time.

Goodmorning Birthday Wrinkles

Of course when I wake up first thing in the morning and look in the mirror I am reminded of how un-16 years old I am---mostly by the consecutive ridges of wrinkles that are slowly forming permanent horizontal bands into my ever-expressive forehead. (I can't help it. I make lots of faces. I've always been a bit theatrical that way.) And this is just the amount of worry lines I've amassed in 34 years. Can you imagine what my forhead will look like in 20 years?

Oh la la, Baby needs some birthday botox!

Happy BIRF-DAY!

You are not alone... I am thirty- freaking- eight yrs old and I still think like I'm 27.... that is the age my brain got stuck.

what is up with that? Us humans just find some groove in our lives and stick there like an infinity loop?

So we'll be 80 still actin' up like 16 and 27 yr olds?? THAT aughta be fun while sipping our pureed meat from the nursing home cafeteria...

I spent much of last year thinking I was 33. Then one day my husband burst my bubble and told me I was actually 34. 34 felt so much worse than 33. http://nebulousmooch.com/2008/12/04/a-shocking-new-development/

I'm 40 in 12 days and I've asked my 17 year old to say I'm 31. I have less of a problem with what it says that I birthed him at 14 than I do with the reality of being 40. Because I soooo don't feel like I could possibly be 40. I was JUST dancing on a speaker to Salt & Pepa's Push it...I SWEAR! Happy Birthday.

Happy happy Birthday! You'll be acting like you're 16 for the rest of your life. That's what's so fun about growing older. You do not need botox!

Happy Birthday, I had my own come to jesus via botox moment last december. I turned 31, but I swear I feel 26. Soon I'll be in my 40's claiming to still feel 31. I'm planning my first trip to France this summer. I'm hoping to find some of the yummy food you show in your blog.

I think you look great for your age - seriously.

I already have smile lines by my eyes, which my mum had from an early age too. But hey, I aint going to stop smiling in fear of wrinkles!

Just 15 minutes ago I was trying to figure out whether I was 32 or 33...I am 33, meaning I will turn 34 this year....hadn't even realized it...35 is right around the corner...but the cool thing is, by 35 I will have a teenager and a Ph.D....not too shabby, I think!

Sistas, Sistas!

I'll be 60 my next Bday, fast approaching. It all gets better as you get older. Sure your tits drop, but with age comes wisdom, and you just don't give a damn. It is a lot easier to have fun when you accept the inevitable direction of your life. You will look different, you will feel different, but "different" doesn't have to mean "worst". Stay out of the sun, eat well, exercise and get enough sleep, you will look great as you age. Unfortunately there is only one way to stop the process. And a rotting corpse looks a whole lot worse than a 60 year old!
Enjoy your coming wisdom!
