Those Crazy Frogs #14: C'est n'importe quoi!
I just found out last night that today in France there is a general strike. Anybody who's anybody is on strike: postal workers, planes, trains, and other mass transit, you name it. All the cool kids are doing it!
Not surprisingly, nobody seems to know what the strike is actually about. From what I can gather from internet news sources, the frogs are striking because they are pissed off at:
1. Sarkozy.
2. The economy.
3. Privatisation, pension reforms and spending cuts.
4. God. (...the one they don’t actually believe in. Heathens!)
But I'm not really complaining because after-all there are some aspects of French idiocy that I absolutely love. Like Remi Gaillard. Enjoy:

Funny! He is like a more sophisticated French version of Johnny Knoxville?
I had the same trouble figuring out what it was about - though they seem to be protesting the financial crisis in general, which is kind of like protesting barn doors. They had 65,000 or 90,000 people on the streets in Paris, depending on who you believe.
I quite like Remi as well - his Mario Kart spoof is hilarious.
Why think about a little thing like a national strike when you can laugh to this little piece of brilliance. I'll be watching this one again.

I always find their strikes interesting. I'm not sure how this one was supposed to change the global economy... its not like it changes anything for the fat cats up top, anyway.
I call strikes here the French equivalent of snow days.

yeah my boyf told me all about this strike. and when i asked what it was for he said "the government, because all the goverments do the wrong thing and look now, we suffer for that!!". When I asked what the expected outcome of this strike was, the conversation went nowhere...but all this was happening while he was waiting for his doctor. Told him "Thank god the doctor isn't on strike today!" "Ben We"
