Mad at the snow.

It snowed yet again sometime during the night. This is bad. Now, normally this would be no big deal. I'd simply stay in the house all day and work. But now that me mum is here visiting I feel obliged to take her out places. But where?

Folks, I know I live in eastern France, but I don’t know how much more of this snow bullsh*t I can take. I feel like it’s been winter for a good 5 months already.

To make matters worse, we had the worse rainy sun-less summer ever. I barely remember what sunlight looks or feels like. I’m so pale that I can’t wear my normal brown bronzey make-up anymore because I look like I’m doing Blackface. Me mum keeps saying: “Girl you got your winter whites on!” And she's right.

So if anyone has some spectactular ideas for fun, cool, hip things to do with me mum during winter in Siberia lemme know.

Hello Madame K,

it sounds like a typical year in Holland. The last time we got a warm, sunny summer was back in 2003. I was pregnant in the hot sultry sun, and this being Europe, we didn't (nor do we now) have AC. Hang in there; it can only get better. What can you do with your mother? Just get outside. Go for a walk around your neighborhood. You know every nook and cranny of it, but your mother probably doesn't. Try to see it for the first time through her eyes. At the very least you'll get outside. Dress Warm!

You know we had the same crazy weather here in England. Really mad stuff and it was sort of shocking to see how we couldn't handle it.

B&B---thre willbe no walking outdoors unless the temp comes up about 5 degrees. I do however have new walking shoes.

Nallama- Yeah, FrenchBoy was in London last week. Whats up with all that snow! They cosed the airports!

the only way i justify the cold is that it makes the nice weather more precious. bs, i know, but it's how i stay sane. :)

To be honest, I don't know how much longer I can put up with the cold weather, either!
